Here is a great tool for the
home studio and the professional studio as well. The Lil-Notcher is a handy
lightweight tool used to make a "V" notch in 1/8" square
u-came. The tool works well with the following metals. ZINC - BRASS - COPPER The tool can be hand held
or mounted directly to a work surface for a more stable cut. To use the tool
simply place your metal in the slot and visually align the groove to a mark
you place on the metal, then just swing the top handle down quickly and snap
a clean cut into your metal. The Lil-Notcher is ideal
for that professional looking finish on small projects where using 1/8"
u-cap is preferred. You can make a series of cuts and still have one piece of
cap in-tact to wrap your panel. Ease of use: The tool is fairly easy to use even for a beginner,
but has some what of a learning curve, that can be easily overcome. Functionality: Specialized for certain tasks. Durability: Lightweight aluminum, this tool should last
through the years with proper care. Cost: Slightly on the pricey side but worth the cost
given what is does. If you wrap a lot of panels
with small capping then this tool is just what you need. |
