Channel Types

Foil Finishes & Construction:

We can fabricate your panel using one of several came channels. Each channel sets a different mode or look for the surrounding glass and its housing.

  • For instance: Brass will compliment an entranceway that features like hardware.
  • For brick entranceways the simple look of lead channel can add grace and elegance, not overpower the surroundings.
  • Copper Foiled panels can produce dramatic and artistic enhancement as well as simple and supporting themes.

Patinas

Surface Finishes For Copper Foil & Lead Channel:

Black Patina Finish
Copper Patina Finish
Black Lead Finish
Natural Lead Finish

The term "Patina" references a thin film of corrosion appearing green that forms on copper or bronze as a result of a process known as "Oxidation". In the art glass industry "Patina" is a treatment to the surfaces of metals, such as

  • Lead Channel
  • Copper Foil
  • Zinc Channels

Soldering Copper Foil

Hand Crafted with quality materials:

Along each seam of the copper foil, an even bead of solder is ran which in effect is similar to the channeled glass process.

Soldering Lead Channel

The came or channel is soldered at the intersections to hold the glass in place.
